Steel Build Masters came highly recommended with a unique challenge to design a tailor-made facility to maximise the space available. The new purpose-built facility would include several levels in room, apex and mono pitch roofs, staggered walls and angled walls to run with the fence line. Basically, every design challenge they could throw at us.  

Never one to back away from a challenge, Steel Build Masters rose to the challenge and saw it as an opportunity to showcase their design expertise. Following an in-depth site survey and inspection of the existing building (that had been destroyed in a fire) and the access, initial plans and designs were drawn to include additional access and significantly more ramps with the ability to service and MOT light vans too.

The designs were deliberated and altered to also include all the office staff and sales front counter as a multi-purpose facility.  Several site visits then followed to ensure every angle and dimensions was checked and double checked on-site. Extensive drawings were produced ensuring every detail was considered and included in the design. Plans were finalised and slab and footings plans drawn up ready for the groundworks that included the dug outs for the various different ramps and MOT equipment.

Construction started just before the Christmas and our crews endured some of the worst of the British winter weather while erecting the frame and cladding the building. Custom designed panels were fabricated for the angle roof and walls along with a fully custom design cold formed steel frame to incorporate the rise and fall in roof line and the staggered walls.

The interior fit out included a custom cold formed mezzanine floor for offices and MOT viewing area below. The result of all that hard work paid off with an outstanding new facility to be proud of. Our client has been able to increase his business significantly as a direct result of the new facility and with a prominent roadside position has attracted many new customers too.
